CM-12 is the name of an counter-espionage campaign by the Vietnam People's Police. This campaign lasted from 1981 to 1988 against the Front to unify the patriotic forces for the liberation of South Vietnam led by Le Quoc Tuy and Mai Van Hanh. This organization transferred spies, commandos, weapons and counterfeit money into Vietnam with the aim of undermining national security and overthrowing the Vietnamese government. CM-12 is also the name of the most core part of the campaign, which is the plan to pick up and arrest this organization and a large amount of weapons and counterfeit money of the organization from entering Vietnam from the coast of Ca Mau province in the years 1981-1984.
